Level 2: Introduction to Sensors
Students are introduced to the sensors that are used in LEGO Robotics. They will build robots with sensors that react to the environment. Machine such as Toll Gate and Line Follower are just a couple of the many cool robots built.
Students will learn how to program the robot that are built with sensors. Learning the function of flow control and sensor systems in the software will enable students to understand how the robot performs and reacts based on scenarios.
In this course, we will be using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 to conduct the class.
There will be a total of 12 classes in this term, which will include
- 1 x Level 1 Assesment and
- 1 x In Class Robotics Competition.
Certificates will be given to high scorers and competition achievers.
Students will be provided One Set per student (Individual) LEGO Mindstorms Set at no additional cost for in class use.
Students will learn about different senses they can detect and cannot detect. They will understand the function of sensor and stimuli in the environment from their surroundings that triggers them.
